Sunshine Islands Bus Simulator repaint codes and image IDs
A repaint code is not a redeem code: it is a Roblox image ID you paste into a repaint-capable bus's own livery panel, and one livery usually needs a separate ID for the left, right, front and back.
Two different things get called "Sunshine Islands Bus Simulator codes", and only one exists. There is no redeem-code box in this game. There is a repaint system, and the numbers it takes are Roblox image IDs — also called repaint codes, livery codes or image IDs.
No, there is no redeem code system
Sunshine Islands Bus Simulator shipped without a promo-code box and still has none: no menu entry, no code field, no active codes. Two independent Roblox code trackers both list zero active and zero expired codes for it, for the same stated reason — no redemption system exists. What the shop sells is gamepasses and Sunshards.
A page promising "SIBS codes" for free currency is therefore empty or inventing them; the request with a real answer is repaint codes, which are a completely different thing.
What a repaint code really is
A repaint code is a Roblox image asset ID — the plain number Roblox assigns to an uploaded image. You paste that number into a bus's own livery panel and the game draws the image onto the bus body. That is the whole mechanism: repaint code, livery code and image ID all mean the same number, and none of them is a reward.
The developer's own announcement is worth quoting: "With this custom livery system, you can add custom liveries on the bus!" — and, for anyone unsure which images are usable, "This system also works with offsale images." Offsale is the normal state of an uploaded decal, so sale status is not what breaks an ID. Moderation and deletion are.
One livery normally needs four or five separate IDs — left, right, front, back and, on some models, body. That is why published code lists appear to repeat the same livery four times: those are the panels, not four different paints.
How a livery goes on a bus
- Spawn a bus that has a repaint mesh. Not every vehicle has one. If the bus has no livery field, that model does not support custom wraps yet.
- Open the bus's custom livery panel. The field is in the vehicle's own interface, so you have to be in the bus to see it. The update log calls it the livery texture — "Fixed an issue with texture IDs not displaying properly in livery texture" — and a Livery button was added for mobile players who can change the route information paper.
- Paste the image ID and apply. The number on its own, not a web address.
- Walk outside and check it. A wrap that looks right from the cab is often mirrored on the far side.
Where the IDs come from
- Your own upload — upload the image to Roblox as a decal, then copy the asset number rather than the page address. Community tutorials suggest an account you can afford to lose.
- The public Roblox library — the developer demonstrated exactly this in the official custom-livery video.
- Community livery pages and videos — Google Sites galleries, Discord threads and videos hand out repaint codes for Citybus, KMB, MTR and fictional operators. Treat every number as unverified until it renders.
Why a code does not load
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Grey checker pattern instead of your image | The asset was moderated or deleted. The number resolves; the picture does not. |
| Nothing at all, no error | The model has no repaint mesh, or you left a panel slot empty. |
| The livery applies but a company logo sits on top | Forever Transit, FT Central Connect and REBC buses draw their own logo over a user wrap. |
| A wrap will not clear | A known bug — "livery textures were not able to reset" — fixed in the September 2024 build. Rejoin if you are on a stale server. |
| A listed code that used to work is dead | Moderation sweeps and creator deletions both remove images. Old lists decay; that is normal. |
Which buses take a custom livery
| Vehicle | Custom livery support |
|---|---|
| Sunshine Islands Bus Enviro500 (ex-NWFB 55xx, later renumbered 14xx/15xx) | First buses in the game to support user-generated advertising wraps. Logos are absent, so a wrap covers the body cleanly. |
| Enviro500 MMC, every operator, from June 2024 | Supported across the family; FT and FTCC logos render over the top of a user wrap. |
| REBC Enviro500 MMC (KMB-specification ATENU) | Supported, and the reason repaints that re-add KMB branding are so common. |
| FT E5FL | Left-side repaint mesh added July 2025, in the same build as the logo-hiding token. |
| Older models with no repaint mesh | Not supported yet. Check the panel before planning a livery. |
The same driver tablet also takes non-route display codes — M2 for training, M3 for a staff shuttle, PH for private hire, and more — all listed on the route numbers page.
